Once again...
Once again I left stuff in the UK thinking... nobody will be interested in that.
And then Game Workshop re-releases a new edition of Space Hulk to which the art Director at OOI, Xavier, immediately purchases it and gets shipped over. Now everyone is craving some Genestealer action again - some 20 years after I initially bought it.. and all it's expansions.
Well....
Thankfully he invited me over for a game last night... ahhh the memories. amazing I haven't played since about 1992, but the rules and game flow came flooding back. I used my old tactic on the 1st mission and won, much to Xaviers annoyance as Genestealers nearly always win that mission... my tactic is a pretty sound one though ;)
Love it, might ask for it for Christmas, or find a way to bring my old original stuff over... but I like the new one - it's got nicer models and... stuff :)

Good purchases, the game has sold out already and there is no intention by Games Workshop to make anymore. A true limited edition collectors piece now (darn it!).
I remember playing it with my brother OMG so many years ago, it was fantastic.
The PC game that came out was also fantastic with 1 person controlling 5 marines at the same time. Real time, but with a 1min freezetime pause to issue orders in.

It seems that in an unprecedented stroke of luck, I found that the Romford Games Workshop had 7 still in the shop - Plymouth, Chelmsford all out or reserved.
The bloke reckons he has the last few boxes in the country.
Got my Dad to grab a copy. Wish I could afford to buy a 2nd box, it'd be able to sell for double come xmas I bet!
Well now the small detail of getting it over here - could cost 50 quid or more to post it - not viable.

This was one of my 'fav' GW titles....Chainsaw Warrior...along with the Warhammer 40 000 thingy...still got it all in the 'roof' somewhere :-)

Ha, I managed to get a copy in the Romford store in England, he still has some and some friends went to Moncton to see Marylin Manson and found some in a games shop there. So now I have TWO copies :)
Will be selling the UK one on EBay when the time is right :)

I hadn't realised you were following my blog Rich, nice to hear from you. Yep I love the job and the lifestyle our here, it's a shame we can't get the house we rightly deserve, just because our UK house can't sell - that sux, so we're stuck renting. But there are some old skool Space Hulk players here and some new - now I know 4 people who have copie so there's gonna be a lot of gaming.
Keep hold of your originals, I saw an original good condition with a missing Genestealr and door going for nearly $300 on ebay.ca!! that's like £180!!!
